Patrol Investigates Fatal Crash in Morrow County
Congress Township – The Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle fatal crash that occurred Friday, June 30th, at approximately 10:49 AM. The crash occurred on County Road 40 approximately a half mile south of Township Road 59.
Kaleb Kaiser, age 24, of Bucyrus, Ohio, was operating a 2005 Honda 1300 VTX motorcycle southbound on County Road 40. Mr. Kaiser failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the right side of the roadway, and struck a guardrail. Mr. Kaiser was transported by Morrow County EMS to Morrow County Hospital. Mr. Kaiser succumbed to his injuries.
Alcohol and/or drug use are not suspected factors in the crash. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by Morrow County EMS.
The crash remains under investigation.
