City Of Ashland Buys Building, Looks To Add Parking

The city of Ashland could be looking to add more parking downtown.

RichlandSource.com reports, City Council approved this week to purchase a building on Third Street.  The maintenance building is owned by the Ashland City Schools and won’t see the city take over the property for possibly up to 24 months. The building was constructed back in the late 1930’s and will cost the city of Ashland $75,000.  The school district has plans for a new maintenance garage.
