The Richland County Commissioners have approved a request to place a renewal levy on the November ballot for Richland County Children Services.
According to RichlandSource.com, the levy was first approved back in 1984 and would be for 10 years. The 1 mill property tax generates around $2.3 million annually. Agency officials said, back in April, there were just over 140 kids in their care, which had a cost of $10,000 per day.
