An Ontario Police officer and the driver of a semi, both were injured and taken to the hospital on Sunday afternoon. It happened following a crash on US 30 eastbound, which took place near the ramp from Lexington-Springmill road.
The Ontario police officer was responding to a crash after a car hydroplaned.
A dispatcher told WMAN, the 2nd accident took place, when the officer was getting back onto the highway and occurred with a semi. The truck rolled onto it's side, which saw US 30 eastbound close down for several hours. The accidents took place just after 3 pm and remain under investigation by the highway patrol.
The officer and truck driver taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Ontario Police.
