Jodie Schumacher is now officially, the new Richland County Prosecutor.
She was chosen to fill the term of Gary Bishop, by the Richland County Republican Party Central Committee, which will run through 2024.
Schumacher took the oath of office last week, which was administered by State Representative, Marilyn John. RichlandSource.com reports, John said, she was very impressed when she first met Schumacher, but a little afraid of her to be honest, which John said, is a good thing in a county prosecutor.
Schumacher has close to 20 years’ experience as a prosecutor.
