Ashland Approves DORA, Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area, 124th In Ohio

In Ashland, City Council has approved the creation of a DORA, which is known as “a designated outdoor refreshment area.”  The unanimous decision paves the way to allow, anyone 21 years of age and older, to buy an alcoholic drink in a designated cup and then carry it within a defined area in downtown Ashland.

The resolution now heads to the Ohio Liquor Control Commission for all the guidelines, which RichlandSource.com reports, could take up to 3 weeks.

Ashland set to become the 124th DORA in the state of Ohio.

Other cities in the area already have established a DORA. They include Wooster, Norwalk, Mount Vernon and Bucyrus.
