Harper Wins Law Director, Richland County Parks Levy Will Have A Recount

Rollie Harper is officially the winner in the May 2nd Primary race for Mansfield Law Director.

The Richland County Board of Elections met on Tuesday to certify the results, which were too close to call on election night with only 11 votes separating Harper and Chris Brown. Harper ended up with the edge in votes with 804 to 783.

The Richland County Park District levy appears to have passed with 6,209 votes for the levy and 6,172 against. Because the margin was so close at .3%, it automatically triggers a recount, which is scheduled for May 23rd.
