COLUMBUS –The Ohio Controlling Board today released funds for the First Responders Safety and Training Center located in Shelby, Ohio, announced State Rep. Marilyn John (R-Richland County).
The Board approved the release of $60,880 in funding to be used by North Central State College for the First Responders Safety and Training project. The project fund is for basic renovations to the Kehoe Center in Shelby, Ohio, which houses the criminal justice and police academy programs offered by the college.
“This funding will provide job opportunity and contribute to the safety of all Ohioans,” said John.
Separately, the Controlling Board approved funding for the following local projects:
- $650,000 from the Regional 166 Direct Loan Program for the construction of a 10,000 square-foot manufacturing building on a 10.24-acre site in Mansfield, Ohio
- $20,280 for lawn care services at the 179th Airlift Wing located in Mansfield, Ohio
