Knox County Woman Pleads Guilty To Her Role In Death Of Child

A 25 year old Knox County woman pled guilty this week, according to RichlandSource.com, for her role in the death of her child.

Savannah Masters, of Howard, Ohio, pled guilty to a first degree felony of permitting child abuse. The incident took place in January of 2022, where her boyfriend, Danial Shahan hit her 22 month old daughter. Masters admitted waiting 12 hours to take the child to the hospital. The girl died 3 days later at the hospital.  Masters will be sentenced on May 18th and faces between 3 and 16 years in prison. 

 

Shahan was sentenced to 19 years behind bars in February.
