Mansfield City Council agreed to buy two parcels of land on South Brookwood Way, then demolish the homes on the land, rather than build a new bridge to connect the properties to Mansfield.

According to City Council President, David Falquette, the cost is just over $423,000, which is less expensive than a new bridge, which is around $500,000 - plus the cost to maintain it.

Mansfield engineer, Bob Bianchi, looked into the matter before presenting his thoughts to council, which agreed to go the least expensive route.
