Good news in the Lucas area.
Richland County Commissioner, Ton Vero, said, Verizon has notified officials that work will begin to install equipment on the communications tower in Lucas within the next week.
According to RichlandSource.com, the work, which will improve cell coverage in the area, is expected to be complete by October, but could be finished sooner. The tower has already helped communication for law enforcement and first responders in the area.
