Ashland Looking Into DORA Downtown, Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area

In Ashland, City Council is talking about creating a downtown outdoor drinking zone.

According to RichlandSource.com, it is known as DORA, designated outdoor refreshment area, where people age 21 and over can purchase and then carry the beverage within a defined area downtown. Several other cities in Ohio have already done this, for example, Wooster, Norwalk, Mount Vernon and Bucyrus.  Ashland Mayor Matt Miller, said, they have been getting more requests for DORA. Miller went on to say, Ashland has a great thing going on downtown and they don’t want to do anything to jeopardize that.
