A Knox County man is headed to prison for nearly 20 years, for his role in the death of a child in 2022.
RichlandSource.com reports, 29 year old Danial Shahan pled guilty last month to voluntary manslaughter and child endangering, after he admitted in court he hit his girlfriend’s daughter while intoxicated in January of 2022. The girl died 3 days later at the hospital and Shahan, who will serve 19 years behind bars, said he waited 12 hours to take her to the hospital. The girlfriend, facing between 3 and 16 years in prison for her role in the incident.
