There was a fire, Saturday night at the China Buffet restaurant, at the Richland Mall in Ontario.
The Springfield Township Fire Department said, the blaze started in the kitchen and then quickly spread up the exhaust pipe to the roof, but damage to the restaurant was minimal. Crews put out the fire quickly, but were on scene for close to two hours to help get smoke out of the building. The restaurant will remain closed until some needed repairs and inspections are done.
