Mansfield, OH (March 3, 2023) – Mid-Ohio ESC and Ashland City Schools Board of Education have completed the search process to select their new Superintendent. Pending Board approval, Mr. Steven Paramore will become the new Superintendent of Ashland City School District as of April 1, 2023. A special Board meeting will take place on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 5:30 PM at the Ashland City Schools Administrative Offices to approve Mr. Paramore's contract.
As a lifelong resident of Ashland, Steven Paramore proudly attended and graduated from Ashland City Schools and has been employed in many capacities at Ashland City Schools for the last 19 years. He has received a B.S. in Business Administration from Florida Southern College, a Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Master's of Education in Educational Administration, both from Ashland University. His passion, service, and care for the students and staff of Ashland City Schools drives him to carry on the high-standard educational services and state-of-the-art facilities. Paramore is compelled to be the best servant leader for this school district and this great community.
Steven Paramore is honored to receive the recommendation from the Ashland City Schools Board of Education to be their next Superintendent. He has an unmeasurable pride for Ashland City Schools, Arrow Nation, and the Great City of Ashland. Steven Paramore explains his gratitude, "This is a true blessing from God, and we honor him in all we do. I have been blessed to attend, graduate, teach, coach, and administrate as an employee of Ashland City Schools since 2004. Throughout the course of his tenure in Ashland City Schools, Mr. Paramore has demonstrated the courage and passion for investing in the next generation, engaging in challenging conversations, and making difficult decisions while simultaneously exuding the grace, warmth, and curiosity that is required to lead a school district with empathy and integrity. His experience and expertise, both in his scholarship and personal leadership, have shown his investment in the students and staff.

The Board of Education will vote to approve Mr. Steve Paramore at the next special board meeting on Monday, March 13, 2023. Pending Board approval, a reception date will be announced to celebrate Mr. Paramore with the entire Ashland community.
Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center provides specialized academic and support services to 11 school districts and over 18,000 students in Crawford, Morrow and Richland Counties. Client districts receive services from curriculum, gifted and special education consultants, speech pathologists, psychologists, special education teachers, occupational therapists and physical therapists.
