THRILLER: Fogle Steal, Dunk, Free Throws Give Lex Sectional Title

Friday, Feb 24th - The Lexington Minutemen got two huge plays from their star freshman, Brayden Fogle, to claim a Division Sectional Title over Willard, 58-56 at the Madison Middle School.

Fogle with the game tied 54-54 with :24 seconds to play jumped in the passing lane on an inbound pass for a steal and ran to the other end to SLAM it home to put Lex ahead. Willard tied the game on two Cam Robinson free throws, but it was Fogle again, who drove down the lane and got fouled with :06 seconds to play. He stepped to the line at knocked them both down to give the Minutemen a thrilling Sectional Final win. Fogle had 15 points, Baden Forup was great with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Lex had a total of 4 guys in double figures with Elijah Hudson chipping in 14 and Hudson Moore 10.

Lexington (19-4) will now face Shelby (20-3) in the District Semi-Finals on Thursday, March 2nd at 8 pm at Ashland High School.
