Renovations are planned for the Municipal building in downtown Mansfield.
City Council recently approved a contract for nearly $80,000 for the first phase of the project, which has a total price tag of around $3.7 million.
The building is approaching 50 years old and RichlandSource.com reports, the foundation is crumbling in places, along with several other things that need attention like the sanitary sewer system, window frames that leak, ceiling repairs and much more.
