The Pioneer National Latex Company in Ashland has reduced its workforce by 80 employees.

RichlandSource.com reports, this is happening because the company has been closing down its production lines in Ashland and would have that take place at plants in Dallas, Canada and Mexico.

Ashland’s facility is moving only to shipping and packaging balloon, which will not need as many employees. The company has been operating in Ashland for over 80 years and the aging equipment went into the decision to halt production locally.
