The Lexington Minutemen defeated the Shelby Whippets on the road Tuesday in front of a sold out crowd by a final score of 66-59. Lex trailed by 2 points (15-13) after the 1st quarter and 3 points at the half (29-26) before outscoring Shelby in the 2nd half (40-30). The Minutemen got 57 points from 3 keys players: Brayden Fogle 21 points and 9 rebounds, Baden Forup 18 points and 11 rebounds and Hudson Moore 18 points and 8 rebounds. Lexington won the battle on the boards 45-32 and scored 17 second chance points. The win moves Lex to 18-3 and they will play their final game of the regular season Friday at Mansfield Senior. A win gives Lex the outright OCC title.
