Richland County voters will see several levies on the May ballot and most are renewals. The County Commissioners announced this week a new online tool through the auditor’s office to be able to quickly let property owners see what they will be voting on and what the cost will be to them.
The company Beacon, who runs the county website, has setup the levy estimator by logging onto the county website at RichlandCountyoh.gov.
Commissioner Cliff Mears says they are excited about the new online tool to help voters be informed when they head to the polls and to the best of his knowledge, Richland County may be one of just a few to have this resource available to its residents.
The cost is $2,000, which Commissioner Cliff Mears said, is money will spent to make sure the public is informed.
