Sandusky held on to beat Mansfield Senior on Saturday night, 79-74, in a fun back and forth game at Pete Henry gymnasium. Senior High jumped out to a 9-0 lead and led by 10 points early, before the Blue Streaks went a on 16-2 run to take a 5 point lead after one quarter. Sandusky had a 7 point advantage at the half, but the TYgers had a good 3rd quarter, outscoring Sandusky by 9 points to take a 2 point lead to the final quarter. In the 4th, a combined 51 point were scored and the Blue Streaks held on for the W. Sandusky got 23 points from Chayce Garr, who hit 4 three's in the 4th quarter and scored 14 points, while De'Mar Moore made 7 free throws to help seal the deal. Senior High was led by 18 points from Kyevi Roane, while Ja'Ontay O'Bryant played a great game and chipped in 15 points. (Aired 2/4/23)
