Shelby Business Plans $12 Million Expansion, Receives Tax Abatement

A Shelby business has plans for a big expansion.

RichlandSource.com reports, Lloyd Rebar is looking at a $8 to $12 million expansion project on Technology Parkway.

The Richland County Commissioners have approved a 15 year 100% tax abatement, which will then see the company expand with 75,000 square feet of Manufacturing space.

Lloyd Rebar, which makes concrete reinforced steel, was founded in 2012 and has helped with projects in Ohio and 4 other states, Kentucky, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

The Shelby company also has a deal to provide rebar to help with the Intel plant down near Columbus.
