Old Road Construction Explosives Found In Mansfield

The Ashland County Bomb Squad was called to Mansfield after explosives were found by employees, at a local company.

According to RichlandSource.com, a worker at Purdy Construction on Longview Avenue, was cleaning out a locker and found old road construction explosives.  The bomb squad removed the 10 sticks, which were inside a steel box.  A bomb squad technician said, the explosives were about 20 years old and did not pose a significant threat. The Ashland County Bomb squad disposed of the explosives.
