The contract to demolish the Ocie Hill building in Mansfield has been awarded to a company in eastern Ohio near West Virginia.
RichlandSource.com reports, the $527,000 deal is with Raze International in Belmont County, which is near Wheeling in a town called Shadyside about 150 miles from Mansfield.
Land Bank manager Amy Hamrick told board members that the references for the company were good and plans to talk with them soon about when the work will be done. Hamrick would like to see it complete by June, which is the end date for the state grant dollars. ($2 million)
