Mansfield City Council, this week, decided to delay its vote on a possible water rate increase to next month.
Council President, David Falquette, told WMAN the plan now is to vote on February 7, after the last meeting in December had a lengthy discussion from engineer Bob Bianchi, who mentioned 60 miles of line needs to be replaced.
The proposed increase would generate more than $3 million annually and allow for replacement of water mains that are long overdue.
