The Westinghouse "A" building demolition has begun

Demolition on the Westinghouse “A” Building in Mansfield has begun. The wrecking ball swung on Monday afternoon and Richland County Commissioner Tony Vero told WMAN, the property has sat vacant for more than 30 years and $4 million dollars in grant money, helped pave the way for the project to take place. Vero said within a span of a year and half, the city was able to track down the landowners, they had to get ownership of all three land parcels and execute agreements to protect the land banks interest once they took ownership of property. The demo of the building is now underway.
