Mansfield Hears Plan To Use $1 Million In Federal Funds To Help Homeless

Mansfield City Council recently heard a plan that would use $1 million in federal funds to help the homeless in the area.

RichlandSource.com reports, the proposal shared by Mansfield Community Development and Housing Director, Adrian Ackerman, also said the plan would assist low-income residents, which included $650,000 to build a dozen units of affordable housing.

No date has been announced, when council is expected to vote on the proposal, which also needs the thumbs up from HUD, Housing and Urban Development.
