The Mansfield Fire Department recently handed out some awards within the department.
- Robert Garn was named fire fighter of the year
- John Mott was the EMT, paramedic of the year
- Travis Pickering was given the Bronze Star for locating and removing a victim from a fire last December.
- Firefighters Kyle Hedrick and Ben Waldman received Legion of Merit for rescuing a victim from a fire back in September.
