Hillsdale Income Tax Renewal Fails By Just 59 Votes

The Hillsdale School District saw their 10 year renewal levy fail by just 59 votes earlier this week.

According to RichlandSource.com, Superintendent Steve Dickerson, said he was disappointed that the 1.25% levy did not pass and said the school board could put the levy back on the ballot in May. Dickerson said they will be cautious in the next year with expanding new programs because if the levy does not pass next year, they don’t want to suddenly take things away.
