7 local fire departments responded to a fire on Saturday night at the former Milliron, now Blue Scope Recycling on State Route 39.
The Shelby Fire department said it is believed to have started from spontaneous combustion. Around 700,000 gallons of water was used, as crews arrived on scene at 9 pm and did not leave until Sunday morning, at 8 am. No injuries were reported from the blaze.
