Make a difference food drive collects thousands of items and dollars

The 19th annual Make a difference food drive was held this past Friday. According to Doc Stumbo, fundraiser organizer, the one-day drive collected nearly 5,000 non-perishables, toiletries and essential items, while also raising $6,530 in monetary donations, to benefit the Harmony House and Catholic Charities. iHeartRADIO was LIVE at the Harmony House for the day-long event. Kelly Blankenship from the Harmony house said, “We did much better financially this year”. Because of the relationships with area food banks, the Harmony House can stretch the monetary donations to go farther.
