In Ashland County, 5 Amish men plead no contest in court and refused to pay a fine for violating Ohio’s new law that requires a buggy to have a flashing light. The charges stem from October 10th, after the new law took effect on August 31st.

One of them men told the Judge their buggies have reflector strips. RichlandSource.com reports, a 10 year study shows there have been over 700 buggy crashes between 2009 and 2019 in Ohio.
