More details have been released on the possible water rate increase in the city of Mansfield.
Engineer Bob Bianchi said, the reason for the proposed increase is to bring in more funding to maintain the water system and be able to afford when water lines need replaced.
RichlandSource.com reports, right now the minimum water bill in Mansfield is $3.80 and the increase would bring that to $15, which would generate $3.2 million in revenue each year. Council is expected to vote on the increase in early December.
