Mansfield Fire Chief Steve Strickling says his department is in need of a new EMS assistant chief to help with the rising number of calls for service.

RichlandSource.com reports, the move would create a 4th assistant chief in the Mansfield Fire department and it would be a 40 hour position.

Mansfield’s 2021 report showed a more than 6% rise in EMS calls from the previous year with nearly 30 calls per day.
