Water rates in Mansfield could be on the rise again. According to RichlandSource.com, this week the administration is expected to lay out a plan, which will see some rates increase. The idea is to eliminate the lowest tier of rates, which is based on how much water is used and move them to a higher rate. Council is expected to vote on the change in December. Mansfield residents have saw several increases in water bills in the past few years, which mayor Tim Theaker said was to pay for the $35 million water treatment plant.
