Lexington Schools File Petition To Annex 37 Acres of Land into Village

The Lexington Schools and village of Lexington have filed a petition to annex just over 37 acres of school owned land into the village. RichlandSource.com reports, the front part of the new school property is in the village, while the petition is for two parcels of land in Troy Township, which has new ball field, practice fields, retention pond and a driveway. Superintendent Jeremy Secrist said it only makes sense for the whole property to be in the village. The public hearing will take place on December 13th.
