The Richland County Land Bank has sent a letter to the city of Mansfield Planning Commission and stated, they will not be involved in the former Kingsgate Movie Theatre on Park Ave West, unless the company that owns the building, Skilken Gold, donates it to the Land Bank.
A Dec. 4th demolition order was issued earlier this year, but the company has asked for a 6 month extension and is set to meet with Mansfield's planning commission about the matter on Tuesday. Skilken Gold says they are in talks with a retailer who plans to renovate the building at 1290 and 1300 Park Ave West, which has sat vacant for more than 2 decades.
