The Richland County Juvenile Court’s application for $843,385 in grant funding was recently approved by the Ohio Department of Youth Services. It is the largest annual amount awarded to the Court since the inception of the Reclaim grant program, with total funding exceeding $5.6 million over the past ten years. The funds are primarily used to reimburse the General Fund for the salaries of various Court staff, providing a substantial savings to Richland County taxpayers.

“I am thankful to the Department of Youth Services for their continued support of our efforts to assist struggling children and families,” said Judge Steve McKinley. “This grant combined with other funding sources secured by the Court is expected to generate more than $1.4 million in additional revenue for the County in the upcoming year.”
