The Ashland County Fair board has voted to cancel this year’s live poultry shows at next week’s county fair.
According to Fair Board President Marty Wesner, there will be no birds on the fairgrounds after a highly contagious avian flu was detected in a backyard flock in Ashland County in early September.
The 171st Ashland County Fair begins on Sunday. ( Sept 18th ).
