An Ashland County Nursing home has been fined nearly $39,000 for failing to upload COVID-19 data to the CDC.

RichlandSource.com reports, Brethren Care Village was fined 14 times for not reporting COVID-19 cases, vaccination rates to the National Healthcare Safety System, from November of 2021 to March of 2022.

The organization said, the two people that handled uploading of the data left the nursing home of November of 2021, which left them without access and took them several weeks to gain clearance and train staff to upload the data.

Brethren Care said, they were not aware they were non-compliant until they were fined for the final time in March of 2022.
