Mansfield Police To Swear-In Child With Rare Disease, As Honorary Officer

The Mansfield Police Department is excited to announce the swearing-in of Honorary Police Officer Allysson Nead.

Allysson is five years old and currently battling Neimann-Pick C. Neimann-Pick C is a rare genetic disease, see attached link. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EE9kh6OTTSY).

Allysson has a dream of becoming a police officer with the Mansfield Police Department. On September 7th, 2022 at 1000 hrs the Mansfield Police Department will make her dream a reality.

Please join the community and Allysson’s family for her swearing-in ceremony as she takes the oath of honorary officer badge #300.

After the ceremony, Allysson will participate in a jam-packed training regimen. This regimen will cover all aspects of the division, including the dispatch center, records department, major crimes, the patrol division, the K9 unit, and the SWAT Team. The community is welcome to attend the ceremony.
