Madison Zoning Officer Retires: Frustrated About Resources, Funding

Madison Township zoning officer, Wayne Liggett, retired this week from his position.

RichlandSource.com reports, he had been in the role for the last 3 years and was frustrated about the lack of resources and funding for his department. Liggett said, he was employed part time, 15 to 20 hours a week, but he was paid less than $14 per hour. He said, Madison is in need of a full time zoning officer with all of the calls he received weekly. Madison had more than one officer, when there was more funding, back in 2005.
