Perfect Ending: Shelby Wins On Lantz Walk-Off FG In Final Game At Skiles

Shelby junior Casey Lantz scored all 10 of Shelby's points, which included kicking the game winning 22 year field goal as the clock expired Friday, as the Whippets beat Madison, 10-7, in the final game ever at W.W. Skiles Field. Lantz caught a 64 yard TD pass from freshman QB Brayden DeVito and also kicked the PAT. The season opening game was played in front a huge crowd for the last game at the field, which opened in 1928. Shelby will play its first game in their new facility on Sept 2nd.
