Richland County Engineer Adam Gove just officially open the county’s first round about at the intersection of Cook Road, Illinois Ave and Mansfield- Lucas road on Thursday and said there could be a possibility of another after meeting with the county commissioners.
RichlandSource.com reports, Gove said he is looking to improve the safety of the intersection of Home Road and Lexington-Springmill road, where there was recently a fatal crash and that intersection, has averaged 6 to 10 accidents per year over a 3 year span.
Gove said, he is not sure if it will be a roundabout, but he will apply for a grant to improve the safety of that intersection and should hear back by October or November.
