A Richland County Grand Jury has ruled law enforcement officials used justifiable force in a shooting incident, which involved a 31 year old Mount Gilead man.

RichlandSource.com reports, the incident took place back in March, when Jeremy Reynolds led police on a multi-county pursuit, stole a cruiser and had a hostage.

The ruling said an Ontario police officer and Richland County Sheriff deputy used justifiable force in exchanging gunshots, one of which struck Reynolds, who was charged with 14 felonies and sentenced to 16 years in prison.
