The Lucas School Board of Education has voted to put the bond issue for a new k -12 school back on the ballot this fall.

RichlandSource.com reports the cost is just over $30 million, which is an increase of $3 million from updated costs and bond interest rates, according to Superintendent Brad Herman.

School Board President, Tim Cooper, said, the levy committee would like another chance to convince the public after the levy failed in May by just 126 votes.
