Not-so-happy trails: An update to Mohican landscape following June tornadoes
It’s been a month since high winds and a tornado ripped through the Mohican area, uprooting countless trees and changing the landscape people have grown to love for decades. According to Richland Source, a 6-mile-long tornado that touched down on June 13 in Butler, traveled to Perrysville before becoming more intermittent and entering Mohican State Park, weather officials have said. All hiking trails except Hog Hollow are reopened with the rest of the trails possibly opening by the end of August.
