Former Mansfield, Ashland Sports Broadcaster Mike Greene Passes Away

A long time sports broadcaster in North Central Ohio has passed away.

Mike Greene started his career with WNCO Radio in Ashland in the late 1960’s and was the sports director at WMAN in 1970.

Mike went on to have a successful and long broadcasting career in radio and TV. Mike was also a writer for Heart of Ohio magazine and is the M in DRM Productions. Mike was born in Cleveland and is a graduate of Shelby High School. He passed away following a brief illness late last week. Calling hours are Thursday afternoon from 2 till 4 pm at the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held Friday morning at 11 at Crossroads Community Church.

 Mike Greene was 79 years old.
