Final C-130 Retires At Mansfield 179th Airlift Wing, Cyber Mission Coming

The 179th Airlift Wing in Mansfield recently shared that the final C-130H aircraft will retire, as the base moves into its new role, which is a cyber mission. The 179th chosen as the first cyber wing for the National Guard, which Col. Darren Hamilton said, this now secures Mansfield and its future as a vital contributor for the defense of Ohio and the nation.

The C-130 aircraft will be on display in northeast Ohio at the Military Aviation Preservation Society, which is located in North Canton.  The National Guard had been flying planes in Mansfield for more than 70 years.
