Richland County: Emergency Crews Respond To Vehicle Fire On I-71

I-71 Southbound Reopening

I-71 southbound, about 5.5 miles south of SR 97, has all lanes open to traffic.

I-71 southbound, about 5.5 miles south of SR 97, has two lanes of traffic open. Crews are working to clean up after a vehicle fire that occurred in the area. Emergency personnel are on scene. 

Traffic is moving slowly. Motorists are advised to drive with caution in the area.

I-71 southbound, about 5.5 miles south of SR 97, is closed due to a vehicle fire. Emergency personnel are on scene. 

The on-ramp from SR 97 to I-71 south is closed to traffic. Traffic will be detoured from I-71 south to SR 13 south to SR 95 west, back to I-71 south.

There is no estimated time as to when the road will reopen. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and to seek a different route.
